ARRAN!!!!

Before half term I went on a mystical magical journey to Arran on a geology trip!!!!
On the way there I accomplished three things Id never done before:
1. First time on a fast train.
2. First time on a sea ferry.
3. First time off the Britain mainland.

It was soooooooooo cold on Arran and more than just a little wet *Brrr*. The first morning we were doing fieldwork the weather was absolutely horrendous and our teachers said it was the worst weather they had ever seen. On one day I was soo cold I wore 8 layers, four of which were fleeces! For that I won 'Michelin Woman of the Week Award' which quite amused me.

Despite it all I had a good time, I got to know all the people from my geology class better, had more than a few fits of hysterics, made a new friend, acquired a new msn name and got to skip a week of college!!

All in all I had fun!!! :)

Camp 08!!

CCIW camp is the most awesome camp in the world ever. I went on camp in summer for my 2nd and last year as a camper. I am too old next year so I'm going to be coming back as a cook along with Sam Imbrey and Peter. I can't wait!!!!

What have I been doing?

I've been up to millions over the holidays.
I had two weeks of being at home before I went on the family holiday. Ahhhhhhhh two weeks of nothingness, it all seems so far away now.
The family holiday was to the Yorkshire Dales, it was so much fun. We were staying in our caravan in Hawes. The caravan site was only a 5 min walk from the town, which is where we spent most of our time. Well when we weren't sunbathing in the glorious weather that we had, when all our friends back home were having miserable weather. Hawes is in Wenslydale, where they make cheese and we kept seeing all the cheese lorries going to the factory with all the local milk. We had the bestest time so good i just had to use a made up word to describe it.
We got up to some random things on holiday like going on a bat walk and it was well cool!!! we used bat detectors to hear them and we got to see some real live bats. We went to a sheep dog demo, which was pretty cool also, I can remember going to the same place when I was little to see a sheep dog demo. We got to go to a place called the Forbidden Corner. I'd been when I was little but couldn't remember much and my sister couldn't remember anything at all. It's this really weird place like a labyrinth but a million times more confusing and has some really weird things in (and scary). Before we went here we'd gone for a picnic in one of our favourite spots and Esti got completely covered in mud SOOOOOOOOOOO funny!!! That's all I can remember about my holiday for now except that ohhhhhh we went to a castle!! I love castles they are soooo cool (I need to get a new word cool seems to be my word of the day or something) I don't care how geeky I sound and that I bought waaaay too many rocks (OK now I sound really geeky!!!).

long time, no blog

Its been too long since I've blogged but I've been busy, busy, busy!!!
I've been on holiday, camp, out and about into town and to the pics and having a sleepover or two!!!!
Now sadly its college again all to soon!!!

YL summer summit

Wooooooooooo piccies from YL summer summit!!! I knew I'd get them on here eventually yey!!!
In this bunch of crazy people there's Becky Bignell, Esti looking rather weird in Jo's hat, Mikey, Ella looking like shes going to sneeze (shes going to kill me if she sees this piccie on the web), Caleb and Thomas' umbrella, Esti looking rather tall because she was standing on a bail of hay and I wasn't, oh and Mikey again (looking very happy if I may say so).
Also me being very clever (NOT) managed to put a video on here. The video shows a blurry blob running down an obstacle course, that blurry blob is me (don't know how I ended up doing that, I was cover in icing sugar for hours) and the big face at the end is Caleb's.

YL summer summit

Twas YL summer summit on Sat. I had lots of fun. We spent a while trying to squish 140 people into Joe's greenhouse, than a quiz (my team came 2nd to last) to determine the order in which we got food. I had vegetarian burgers and a vegetarian sausage, (Michael said I had 5 burgers whivh is a lie) I made Michael taste some and he really didn't like it, then Caleb tasted some and he nearly threw up (his face was sooo funny), then Seth had some and Mikey. Then I made Michael have some sausage, this time he nearly threw up (there's a picture of this knocking around somewhere). He then proceeded to tell me not to eat my tea as he thought it was dodgy or something. After that we had the obstacle course, I took part in this, I had to bouncy hopper down the field (my mate said he's never seen anyone bouncy hopper soo high), over a pool and jump then over a bale of hay, then i had to bob for an apple (my fringe was soaking), then i had to hula hoop two times, then crawl through a tunnel, then get a malteser out of icing sugar with my teeth. And after all this I still had to run to the finish and I was sticky ALL night. All this in the rain and THEN I find out my mate filmed me doing this (o the shame lol). We then crammed everyone back into the green house and then had a talk and then some played football. I sat inside because it was raining and it slowly got dark.

Superlambananas!!

When in Liverpool I also saw two of the new superlambananas. I think they are soooo cute, aAnd here they are:

Chavness!!!

I went to the University of Liverpool on Fri to a HE convention. Afterwards I was cold so my mate lent me his jacket but apparently I looked like a chav so all my other mates wanted pics and here they are. I do look rather funny!!!

I drew this at the same time as my trouser collage, so this too is old but o well it's still cool.
So what is it??
It's an alien spaceship, a bunch of random shapes, no its the silent study area at college. Bit of a come down but fun because it confused lots of people.

Trouser collage

I drew this months ago and I recently found it. I was really bored at college one day and started doodling, I also doodled trees but i can't find that at the moment. Anyhu it ended up taking all my frees for two days and some time at home and my doodles turned into a collage of sorts. And here it is!

My bunk bed (or lack of it)

I got rid of my bunk bed on Sat and it's really weird in my room. I have a BIG BIG wall and the ceiling is WAY too far away. I was sat in bed on Sat night feeling way too exposed. The wall you see is where my bunk bed used to be and it looks way different. I found out that my mum took a pic of my bunk bed before we got rid of it, she's like that, so I will post it when I find it and you can see how different my room looks. I apologise for the fact that there are 2 doors in y second picture as I was using panorama on my phone and couldn't line it up properly, I don't apologise for the mess though as I had just moved all my furniture round so it's not my fault there was mess.

This is my fave drawing so far. I just absolutely love it.

Rainbow

I bought art stuff, I got pencils, cpencil crayons, watercolour pencils, charcoal pencils and metallic pencils.
I was bored so i decided to test them out, so i drew a rainbow.

Boy Fairy

This is my first (and only) attempt at drawing a boy fairy. It is quite unlike anything I usually draw and I'm quite proud of it. It started out as a colourful boy fairy with blond curly hair but kind of ended up like this. I'm not sure how. O well, I mostly never know what I'm going to draw when I start.

I drew this when I was very stressed about exams. You can probably tell I wasn't too happy when I drew it.

Father's Day

Today me and my sister made breakfast in bed and I, as always, messed up making coffee. This time I spilt loads of coffe granules on the floor, which I suppose is better than making it too weak then too strong so that we had to mix the two together to make it normal.
Anyhu moving on....
Me and esti made choc carmel shortbread for our dad, but we kind of made a mess of the caramel, well it was my fault really, but mum fixed it. Yey!!! I havn't eaten any yet as it's still in the fridge setting but it's making me really hungry thinking about it.

Decisions decisions

Im supossed to be deciding what option I drop next year, but I really don't know. I really love all my options and all the 2nd year courses sound sooooo interesting. I want to keep all my options on and I know I could cope with the workload but I get very exam stressed. So I'm stuck not knowing what to do.
I can't make a decsion based on what I want to do at uni either because I don't know that either. ARGH!!!!

Blognesssssssss

I haven't blogged in a while so here's how things have been.
It's still the first week back at college after study leave. It's good to be back I was getting bored and kinda lonely. I'm enjoying having something to do. Even if it is actual work. I'm also enjoying seeing all my friends again. I miss them when I don't see them very often.

Cafe Nero

I went to Cafe Nero's today with my friend Dan, and we spent 5 HRS in there. I can't quite believe it to be honest I was sure that we would get kicked out, but somehow we didn't. When I came home my sister was like 'what did you talk about for that long??' But I don't care because I had fun talking for ages.

NO MORE EXAMS!!!!!!!!!!

Yey!!!! I have no more and I'm sooooo happy. I'm soooo glad there all over. I think I may have flunked two of my exams but there's nothing I can do now I'll just have to wait until the results come out and see how well (or bad) I did.

I think my current favourite verse is 'For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.' Jeremiah 29:11. It has helped me to not stress as much during the exams, and boy do I stress, because it helps me to remember that, no matter what, my life is in God's hands and that He loves and only does what's best for me. So I have no need to worry.

Exams

ARGH!!! ive got 2 exams left this week. Biology and Chemistry. I hate exams with a passion.

Holiday club - 4th day - Fri

No piccies yet. The craft was OK today but i got absolutely covered in glue sticking things together for the kids, it was fun though. We get to have lunch at church on the Fri as we have to set up for the evening afterwards, it's a tradition. I had McDonald's yey! Me and Bethan had to go on a search for a hula hop and some balloons but it took us over half an hour, everyone said they were about to send out a search party when we got back. You would not believe how hard it is to find plain balloons and a hula hoop. Near impossible!!!! I did get to hula hoop with it later though so it's not all bad.

The evening was fun as ever. My bestest friend in the world, Ali, was there, so I was very happy. I only get to see her at weekends now since she started living at college and I miss her a lot during the week. I was helping out with a balloon game but the balloons kept going every where (or kids threw them every where).

All in all it was a very fun day and loved every minute of it.

My Craft

Here is the craft i made with the stuff i brought home on Tues. strictly speaking its not like all the kids as they decorated theirs with stars and sports stickers, but i felt like being girly.

Holiday club - 3rd day - cont.

I was very bored today when the oldest group were doing their craft as they didn't really need any help as they were quite capable so i made a pretty blu tack thing and here it is.

Holiday club - 3rd day - Thur

Piccies from the third day. We were making football/ sports people. It didn't go as bad as we thought it would but it take all the time again.

On my table when we had the youngest group it was great because as you can see in the second pic we had four helpers and 3 kids so it was easy.

The little girl on my left in the last picture made her person into me by putting glasses on the person because i was wearing glasses. However she told me they were sunglasses as the people were footballers therefore i was playing football out side so needed sunglasses (well that was her thinking anyway).

I was looking through some pics and i found some rainbows. Here's a good one. It is now my desktop walllpaper. I thought i'd put it on my blog coz rainbows make you smile :)

Stuart

He's our new pastor but me and Bethan have decided that we are not going to call him pastor Stuart because that sounds too weird as he's just been plain old Stuart for as long as we've known him, which is about 10 years, maybe more. We decided we are going to declare this to him but we haven't yet. Perhaps we shall do it at day 3 of holiday club.

Holiday club - 2nd day - Wed

Me and Bethan in craft on the 2nd day. We are supposed to dress sporty or bright for the club and yesterday Bethan was supposedly dressed as a tennis player (she was wearing a really short skirt over jeans) but none of us understood as her skirt wasn't white so i think she gave up today. We were making wipe boards. The children had to colour in flags to decorate their piece of card that were then laminated to become *drum role* a wipe board. However for the youngest group this seemed to be quite hard. The little girl sat on my knee had a lot of pink flags. Her daddy is Irish and she's quite proud of that so she did manage to colour an Irish flag it took a lot of encouraging though, but she enjoyed it. I found out today that four year olds can still be ambidextrous, she kept switching hands. The girl on my left, your right, coloured all her flags green then declared to me that she likes green. O well she enjoyed herself. Even the older group found it hard, it took up all the time we had to make the wipe boards, we usually have some time left. Tomorrows craft is even more complicated. O dear!!!
PS i have again made the craft. this is becoming a habit of mine!!

Holiday club - 1st day - Tues

I have piccies of this years holday club now. here are some piccies of esti and some of the children from holiday club in the craft room on the first day. They are colouring in their bags that their craft goes in. They were supposed to be decorated with a sporty theme but i think that went to pot a little. Especially in the youngest group that are in the pics. There was one little boy who wouldn't wear his badge all day until esti managed to put it on him like 15 mins before the end. But all in all it was an awesome day as ever.

Holiday Club!!!! Champions Challenge!!!

This week its half term and therefore that means HOLIDAY CLUB! This year the theme is champions challenge. Unfortunately i haven't got any pics from this year as so far there has only been one day but i have found some piccies from last years holiday club. There's me and dawn helping with the craft, making penguins and there's Liz the official photographer. First day in craft (tues) we were making door hangers, it was fun and I've brought the stuff home to do it at home. YEY!

There's also a pic from last year of us all dancing and doing crazy actions to the songs. holiday club is great because you can dance and do crazy actions all week long and no-one cares because there all doing it as well! I love holiday club. o look there is me and Ali my bestest mate ever dancing to some songs. The songs this year are again incredibly cheesy but they're best that way, Ive already had two songs stuck in my head and its only the first day. i can't wait for more holiday club, it's going to be incredibly awesome!!!

My very first post on my very first blog

Hi my name is ketch and this is my blog. I got the idea from my dad, who has decided to start a holiday blog but seeing as were not on holiday, u might have figured that there's not much on it. In fact he now has more comments than posts and he only has two posts lol. Anyhu back to MY blog which i am very proud of, simply because i am in no way technical minded and also because until recently my computer was used only for homework and here i am doing something on my computer for fun. so anyway there it was ... my first post.
